The countdown to the carnivals has begun, and the cities of Las Tablas, in the province of Los Santos, and Santiago, in Veraguas, have declared themselves ready to receive thousands of national and foreign visitors who arrive each year to enjoy one of Panama's most anticipated festivities. This was stated by Alcibíades Rangel, coordinator of the structures for these events.
Both Las Tablas and Santiago are preparing to receive thousands of people, reaffirming their commitment to keeping Panama's cultural traditions alive in an atmosphere of joy, music, and family togetherness that characterizes Panamanian carnivals.
In the city of Las Tablas, considered the cradle of Panama's most spectacular and traditional carnivals, authorities and the organizing committee have reported that logistics are practically ready at Belisario Porras Park, the epicenter of the celebrations.
Luis De León, a representative of the mayor's office in Santiago, explained that the members of the carnival organizing committee confirmed that Placita San Juan de Dios will, as is tradition, be the main stage for the culecos.
The organizers of both cities agreed that the carnivals are designed for healthy and responsible enjoyment, so actions have been coordinated with security forces, health entities, and local authorities to guarantee order and security during the four days of festivities.
For four days, this spot will become the center of music, comparsas, queens, water tankers, and activities that attract crowds seeking to experience the festive atmosphere characteristic of the region.
This venue is known for offering one of the most lively atmospheres, with artist performances on a stage, guaranteed clean water, and police security to safeguard attendees.
